Remote IT Support

Start remote support the easy way.

We use Chrome Remote Desktop first because it is simple and reliable. If it does not connect, we can switch to HelpWire or AnyDesk depending on your device and situation.

Heads-up: You will always see a permission prompt before a remote session starts, and you can end the session at any time.

Remote support options

Use the first option when possible. The other two are backups if Chrome Remote Desktop is not a fit.

Recommended

1) Chrome Remote Desktop

Works in your browser and is usually the easiest option for non-technical users.

  1. Open Chrome or install it if needed.
  2. Click Open Chrome Remote Desktop.
  3. Choose Provide Support and then Get Support.
  4. Share the one-time access code with us on the phone.
Backup

2) HelpWire

Quick connect app with a straightforward setup flow.

  1. Click Download HelpWire.
  2. Run the download.
  3. When prompted, share the session code.
Backup

3) AnyDesk

Lightweight and fast. The free version is intended for personal and non-commercial use.

  1. Click Download AnyDesk.
  2. Run it and read us your AnyDesk Address.
  3. Approve the permission prompt to begin.
Pro tip: If your computer asks “Allow” or “Grant access,” choose Allow so we can control the mouse and keyboard. If you only want screen sharing, tell us and we can do view-only support.
